After 36 long years in the making, Ferruccio Covini’s C6W or the Convini 6 Wheel finally takes form. The 2-seat, 2-door sports coupé from Italy which was inspired by 1976 Tyrrell P34 reported to enter production two years back and has finally been unveiled this week. The six-wheeled whacky beast gets power from a 4.2-liter Audi sourced V8 engine that generates a massive 440PS and 346 lb-ft torque. Engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels and there is also independent front and rear wishbone suspension, 15-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels with Brembo disk brakes. The top speed of the vehicle is expected to be 185mph. What’s more? Ferruccio isn’t going to stop here and will come up with a new diesel-powered supercar. However, it remains to be seen whether six wheeled beauty fits well in the saying that goes like ‘if two wheels are bad and four wheels are good, then six wheels must be awesome’.
