After presenting the G40 sports car this year, the British Sports car maker, Ginetta, has come up with G55 sports car that will compete in the 2011 GT season along with G50. New Ginetta G55 will be propelled by Ford sourced 3.7 liter engine that develops a moderate 370hp and is mated to a Hewland gearbox. Other features of the car include cool air induction kit, up-rated front and rear brakes, new exhaust system and stunning new bodywork with improved aerodynamics.
Apart from G55 sports car, Ginetta is also offering option for race teams to upgrade their Ford 3.5 liter engine powered G50 with 300hp to G55 specs for £25,000 or enroll in a new, part-exchange system. G50 will also be fitted with a Hewland gearbox and cool air induction kit. The G55 will be appearing for the first time at the Autosport International exhibition in Birmingham, UK on January 13th. The price tag for the G55 has been put at £75,000
